Wigan ace Moses cleared of serious facial damage

Wigan Athletic winger Victor Moses is free to play against Stoke City this weekend after being cleared of a serious facial injury.

The 21-year old received a nasty kick to the face by Liverpool's Martin Skrtel just prior to the half-hour mark of Saturday's 2-1 win at Anfield.

Moses had to be replaced by Albert Crusat before half-time with fears he may have had a broken jaw but manager Roberto Martinez has confirmed the former Crystal Palace man is fine.

"We got him checked out straight away in the hospital because there was the potential for a fractured bone in his face," the Spaniard told the club's official website.

"The results came back really positive and there was no fracture, which allows us to treat him.

"We will see within the next few days whether he is available for selection on Saturday."
