Craig Whyte wants his takeover of Rangers FC to be completed by the time the stock market closes today. London's market closes at 4pm (BST) today ahead of the Royal Wedding tomorrow and the venture capitalist is keen to push the deal through before that deadline.
A source told SunSport that the £33million deal was extremely close to being finalised.
"Everyone is working around the clock to get the deal finalised," the source said "He wants it done before the wedding and the stock market closes.
"He knows if it is not completed today it will rumble on until next week.
"Everything is almost in place. The deal is almost done."
