Tomas Rosicky has defended his actions in Arsenal's 2-1 victory over Sunderland yesterday.
The Czech midfielder turned and walked towards the middle of the pitch with a smile on his face as soon as Sebastian Larsson had struck his free-kick at goal.
The brilliant shot from the Swede flew into the back of the net whilst Rosicky was criticised for walking away before the goal was even scored.
Arsenal fans claimed that Rosicky laughed when the free-kick was taken and although he admits to that, he says it was more of a 'you can't be serious' type of response to a fantastic goal.
"That wasn't a laugh - it was a desperate laugh that such a screamer would be scored again. I don't have to turn around," he said.
"When I see his face and he is celebrating, why should I turn around? I have been here six years and anyone who thinks I would laugh at that, for people to take it that way is frankly unbelievable."
