Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini slapped Leonardo Bonucci during their 0-0 draw at Champions League opponents Barcelona this week.

It's emerged Chiellini took issue with Bonucci negotiating with Lionel Messi during the game about swapping shirts.

The veteran, upon hearing the conversation, pulled his teammate aside and slapped him, urging Bonucci to drop such thoughts and focus on his game.

Bonucci took the advice to heart and helped Juve keep a clean sheet and progress to the semifinals.

And at the final whistle, the centre-half still managed to secure Messi's shirt, revealing: "Leo Messi is the best in the world with Cristiano Ronaldo and I'm happy to add his shirt to the collection I have at home."
