Barcelona flirted with fresh controversy involving Luis Suarez yesterday. The former Liverpool striker has signed for Barca, but is banned from all football activity - including associating with professional club facilities - for four months as part of his FIFA biting suspension.
AS reports Suarez and Barca defied FIFA yesterday, with the striker visiting the Nou Camp and signing a five-year contract.
Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu accompanied Suarez at all times as the striker toured the Nou Camp. Officials made sure the visit was done as discreetly as possible to avoid photographs being taken.
Sport says insiders at Barca refused to neither confirm nor deny the story, insisting only that FIFA are aware of all their dealings with the player.
