WHOAH! Amazing Sporting CP media statement explains Rojo delays for Man Utd

In a spectacular media statement, Sporting CP have lifted the lid on their furious clash with Doyen Sports over the potential sale of Marcos Rojo.

While not naming Manchester United, it's understood the English giants' bid to prise Rojo away from Sporting has kicked off a nasty row between Sporting's board and player investment firm, Doyen Sport - the result of which has been Sporting's decision to move to end all contracts with the company.

In last night's official statement, Sporting revealed Rojo's former club, Spartak Moscow, will be due 20 per cent of any fee above €5 million. There are also accusations of abusive texts from Doyen representatives at the beginning of last season as Sporting refused to sell the Argentine.

The entire statement, including all THIRTEEN detailed points, can be read here.

What is clear, after Southampton's failure to agree terms with Sporting for Rojo and delays over United's move for the defender, is that any Premier League club will struggle to overcome the third party issues involved in the Argentine's transfer with tensions so high.
