Rangers first team coach Kenny McDowall has heaped praise on the versatile Steven Whittaker.
The 'Gers coach feels that the 26-year old former Hibernian man has been the best player for the Glasgow giants this season with his ability to play in a variety of positions at a high level.
"Steven's been our player of the season. Definitely top man. He came from Hibs and it took a bit of time to settle in," McDowall told SunSport.
"At one point he was looking a wee bit wobbly, not sure.
"Then all of a sudden he got a hold of it all and he's been brilliant ever since.
"He realised what the requirements were and what it took to be successful here.
"He's just been a tremendous player. Right-back to wide left, centre-back and centre-midfield.
"He never questions anything the manager asks him to do.
"He gets on with it, goes in and does the job, never complains.
"Steven's always fit, does his training best he can. He's a model pro to work with and a smashing lad."
