Steven Whittaker insists Rangers are ready for an important seven days in which the Scottish champions take on Valencia and Celtic after a win against Motherwell. The visit of the Steelmen marked the start of another important week for Walter Smith's men, who host the Spaniards in the Champions League on Wednesday before heading into the first Old Firm derby of the season.
"It's going to be massive," said the full-back.
"The Motherwell game was a tricky one and the international break could have put us off track.
"But we got the result in this one and the next two games are ones that, as a footballer, you want to play in.
"We are looking forward to the challenge of the next two games and hopefully we can get the right results needed."
