Jack Butland - Stoke City* on loan at Birmingham City
The 19-year old gloveman had become one of the most sought-after players in the Championship this winter and managed to land himself a move to top flight Stoke City who then loaned him back to Birmingham City.
Butland has emerged as a key player at St Andrew's this season, hence the move to Stoke, and is England's brightest prospect in goalkeeping terms. In the next few years expect him to be competing with the likes of Joe Hart and Fraser Forster when he is selected in senior England teams.
Bruno Pilatos - unattached
The left-back has been with Boro since 2002 but was only released by the club in the last few days.
19-year old Pilatos signed a four-year deal with the Teessiders in 2010 but failed to force his way into Tony Mowbray's first team and is now on the hunt for a new club.
Luke Garbutt - Everton
Garbutt has been developing well with Everton's youth and reserves teams since arriving from Leeds United in 2009.
He was sent on loan to Cheltenham Town for the 2011/12 season where he made close to 40 appearances in all competitions and this season was able to make his Toffees debut when he replaced Phil Jagielka at half-time of the 5-0 Capital One Cup win over Leyton Orient in August.
Conor Coady - Liverpool
Coady captained the England U17s to their historic triumph so it is no surprise to see him pushing for the occasional senior appearance at Liverpool.
The versatile 19-year old was appointed as full-time skipper of the Reds U21 side this term and made his senior debut, playing just over an hour of the Europa League loss to Anzhi Makhachkala in November.
Coady has been in fine form in the U19 NextGen Series this campaign with five goals in four outings as Liverpool went down to Sporting Lisbon in the Round of 16 this week.
Nathaniel Chalobah - Chelsea* on loan at Watford
The Chelsea man is coming of age during his loan spell at Watford where Gianfranco Zola has been using him in midfield.
Chalobah has appeared in 26 Championship matches for the Hornets, scoring four goals, and is slowly becoming the player his parent club has hoped he would be.
There is a very bright future for the Sierra Leone-born Chalobah who could be part of a Watford side that may gain automatic promotion back to the Premier League.
Andre Wisdom - Liverpool
The scorer of the equalising goal in the England U17s famous victory, Wisdom has gone on to make 15 senior appearances for Liverpool since 2010.
11 starts in the Premier League this season suggests that he is slowly working his way to becoming an Anfield regular with manager Brendan Rodgers stating that he has been delighted by the form of the clubs young players, including Wisdom.
Will Keane - Manchester United
The twin brother of defender Michael, who is on loan at Leicester City, has been continuing his development with United's reserves.
The 20-year old forward is currently sidelined by injury but is highly-rated at Old Trafford and certainly has senior prospects. He topped the United reserves scoring charts with 19 in 2011/12 and is expected to play Premier League football in the next couple of years.
Benik Afobe - Arsenal* on loan at Millwall
Afobe has been plying his trade with Championship and lower league clubs for the past few seasons and currently finds himself in South London with Millwall.
The 20-year old striker has made two starts for the Lions since arriving earlier this month after spending almost six months at Bolton where he scored just two goals in 20 league appearances.
Prior to that, Afobe spent time with Reading during the second half of last season after a fairly successful stint with Huddersfield Town, then in League One, where he scored eight times in 35 outings.
Josh McEachran - Chelsea* on loan to Middlesbrough
McEachran was a major contributor at Middlesbrough in the first half of this season but has recently seen his form wane.
He is likely to spend more time on the Boro bench as Tony Mowbray looks to freshen him up ahead of the run-in to the playoffs but nevertheless, he has made massive inroads this term after a short spell with Swansea City last season.
McEachran has played 29 times in the Championship for Middlesbrough in a key midfield role as the Teessiders sit sixth on the tier two table.
Ross Barkley - Everton
The 19-year old midfielder has enormous wraps on him at Goodison Park but needs to continue to develop before the Toffees coaching staff turn to him.
A fairly successful loan with Sheffield Wednesday last season preceded an educating spell with Leeds United just last month and Barkley is back on Merseyside ready to take any chance that falls his way, even if that means biding his time in the U21s.
Connor Wickham - Sunderland* on loan at Sheffield Wednesday
The match-winner from 2010 finds himself with Sheffield Wednesday after toing and froing from Martin O'Neill's first team at Sunderland.
Wickham has a very bright future ahead but must find the aggression required to make him a feared centre-forward. He has made 23 Premier League appearances for the Black Cats, scoring just once, and the Wearside club want to see their £8million investment pay off by advancing his education at senior level.
George Thorne - West Bromwich Albion
Since 2010, the talented midfielder has had two separate spells with Portsmouth and also spent time with Peterborough United.
This season, however, Thorne has featured five times in the Premier League for Steve Clarke whilst adding four cups appearances to his tally as he looks to more regularly force his way into the Albion first team.
Rob Hall - West Ham United *on loan at Birmingham City
Winger who has enjoyed loan spells with Oxford United, MK Dons and is currently with Birmingham. Has made 13 Championship appearances for the Brum this season without scoring.
Tom Thorpe - Manchester United
Defender yet to make United debut. Captained England U19s to Euro semi-finals last summer and United's Academy team to FA Youth Cup in 2011. Was included in United's squad for Champions League clash with Galatasaray.
Sam Johnstone - Manchester United
Goalkeeper who has had loan spells with Oldham Athletic and Scunthorpe United. Won the FA Youth Cup with United in 2011 and developing nicely.
Saido Berahino - West Bromwich Albion
The Burundi-born striker is coming along well at The Hawthorns after loans at Northampton Town, Brentford and Peterborough United.
Baggies boss Steve Clarke is a big wrap for Berahino, who has made one Capital One Cup appearance for Albion, and is planning to send him back to Peterborough once he recovers from injury.
Ben Gibson - Middlesbrough
Defender who has been loaned out to Plymouth Argyle, York City and Tranmere Rovers over the past few years. Has not appeared for Boro seniors this season.
Striker who has been slowly working his way into Tony Mowbray's calculations at the Riverside Stadium.
Williams has made 10 Championship appearances, scoring a goal each in wins over Ipswich Town and Burnley early on, and has been in the Boro matchday squad for 25 of the 33 league games this term and has taken his overall tally to 26 senior matches for the Teessiders. Plenty of scope for improvement.
