David Wheater says Bolton Wanderers players are to blame for defeat at West Bromwich Albion.

With pressure building on Coyle and his side to turn round results before Christmas, he feels the responsibility needs to be taken by the players, starting with this weekend's visit of Everton to the Reebok.

"The manager is getting it right, it's just us who go out on the pitch," he told the Bolton News.

"It's the same at any level - you feel like you are letting the manager down because he's picked you and you want to win the game for him.

"I know everyone is behind him. He's a great manager and he'll turn it round."
