The pair decided to end their bitter eight-year feud with a handshake at a Premier League meeting — stunning rival bosses.

A Premier League source told The Sun: “Everybody was expecting fireworks but instead they shook hands and agreed to put the past behind them.

“I doubt they'll ever be best friends but they were on good terms. They even cracked a smile and a joke."

Etihad chief Guardiola and United boss Mourinho face up in the Prem for the first time this lunchtime.
