Ashley Westwood has welcomed Tom Cleverley to Aston Villa.
The Manchester United loanee has boosted competition in central midfield with the likes of Carlos Sanchez and Joe Cole already waiting in the wings.
"I believe there are good times ahead for this club and we've strengthened our group now with the arrival of Tom," said Westwood who has played every minute of Villa's opening four league and cup games this season.
"He's a really good player.
"I've met him this week and, even from that first day, you can just tell that he's a top lad. I know he will fit right in."
