Western Sydney preparing for rest of season without Ono

Western Sydney Wanderers could be without star midfielder Shinji Ono for the remainder of the campaign.

The A-League's first-year club sit atop the table with one regular season match remaining but are likely to miss the Japanese ace for the finals after he injured his groin in the weekend's 1-1 draw with Sydney FC.

It has been suggested that Ono could be out for up to a month which would surely rule him out of the Wanderers' debut finals test which kicks off in mid-April.
