West Ham United defender Matthew Upson says he's improved "massively" under England coach Fabio Capello.

The former Arsenal defender said: "He's instilled high standards and discipline in the squad, probably more so than a lot of the players have had before.

"That's one of the things that I think is outstanding about him. He requires a high standard of behaviour on the field and off it.

"Everybody has to be fully focused every training session. When you get on the training pitch he wants you to improve all the time and learn.

"It's been a great learning experience for me and I feel that as a player he's improved me massively."
