West Ham midfielder Nobby Solano has urged Peru teammate Claudio Pizarro to stay and fight for his place at Chelsea.

"The Premier League is one of the toughest in the world," he told radio Ovacion. "Claudio didn't have the chance to complete a full pre-season with Chelsea so that start affected him.

"His situation is also difficult because Chelsea have players like Didier Drogba. He knew that, and that is why it is a challenge for him.

"When you arrive at a team you start from zero. He is professional so he has to be calm.

"Football always gives you a chance. He will have to wait for that opportunity."
