West Ham's Lee dedicates Luton goal to memory of Aussie talent Tombides

On-loan West Ham United striker Elliot Lee celebrated his goal for Luton Town on Tuesday night with a touching tribute to his friend Dylan Tombides.

Lee scored the equalizer against Wycombe Wanderers in the seventh minute of the eventual 3-2 home loss and showed off the message under his shirt in the memory of his late friend. The message on Lee's vest read: 'For you Dyl, gone but never forgotten,' with a picture of the Australian striker who died aged 20.

Lee, who netted a double on the night, has also been wearing the No 38 jersey, the same squad number as Tombides had during his time at Upton Park.

Tombides died in April last year after a three-year battle with testicular cancer.
