West Ham United midfielder Joe Cole wants to break into Roy Hodgson's England squad.

Having returned to West Ham in January after a tough spell at Liverpool that saw him sent out on loan to Lille, Cole is confident he can get back to his best form and catch Hodgson's attention.

He said: "I'm hoping if I can keep fit, to get back into the England squad and have another go. Playing for your country is the pinnacle. You never know. There's another World Cup in a year's time."
