West Ham United striker Craig Bellamy exchanged angry words with Newcastle United goalkeeper Shay Given during Saturday's 2-2 draw, it has been revealed.

The Sun says Bellamy launched into a foul-mouthed rant at his former Toon team-mate on the way to the dressing rooms at half-time during Saturday's 2-2 draw.

Witnesses say Bellamy, 29, who had scored a 29th-minute equaliser, was the aggressor.

A Toon insider said: "Bellamy just went into one but anyone who played with him at Newcastle, as Shay did, would not have been surprised

"Bellamy was ranting and raving but not making a lot of sense."

The pair are January targets for Manchester City.
