Dan Potts has won praise from West Ham United celebrity fan Russell Brand after impressing against Barnsley.

Dan is the son of Hammers legend Steve Potts and plays at fullback like his Dad.

The Daily Mail says comedian Brand made a point of congratulating Potts Jr after the game.

"Is this young Daniel in technicolour?" asked Brand. "Look at you, you're a chip off the old block. Well played, you were brilliant today - I thought you should have got man of the match. Did your dad make it here? Well done, you were brilliant."

Potts's reaction was a shy "Thank you" followed by "That's Russell Brand!" when the scene had moved on.
