West Ham United winger Stewart Downing insists manager Sam Allardyce will continue to stare down his critics.
With just one win from three league games so far this term, the pressure is on the manager ahead of tomorrow's trip to Hull City.
But Downing is backing Allardyce, 59, to silence the snipers yet again.
He said: "The boss takes a lot of unfair stick but he's been around a long time and knows how to get results.
"He proved that last season.
"You have to give him a lot credit for the way in which he handled a difficult situation - especially with the injuries and suspensions we had through the season.
"Other managers might have cracked."
