Luis Boa Morte says the positive nature of West Ham United boss Avram Grant has never wavered.
The Portugal midfielder admits the constant sack rumours have unsettled the players.
He said: "The rumours all year about our manager leaving and players heading for the exit have not been good. We need to stay calm and improve our football because I am adamant that this squad is not the worst in the Premier League.
"Avram Grant is working with great effort and so are the players, but this season we have not had any luck in many matches.
"The coach is like a psychologist in our group, and he says it is possible to save our league status. So I am convinced that if we can put back-to-back wins together then our whole outlook can change."
