West Ham will go to £150,000-a-week for Rooney

West Ham are chasing Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.

The Sunday Express says the former England captain has been the subject of huge offers from the Chinese Super League after Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho told him he can go.

But Rooney, England's all-time leading scorer, still believes he can play in the Premier League.

West Ham have registered an interest in signing Rooney.

The East London side have endured a torrid time on and off the pitch since moving to the London Stadium.

And they are looking to make a marquee summer signing to win around fans who have been critical of the move from Upton Park.

West Ham are ready to pay the £150,000 a week that Rooney is demanding from his boyhood club Everton.
