West Ham want Roma forward Doumbia after missing out on Rennes ace Ntep

West Ham United are believed to be interested in brokering a loan deal for AS Roma's Seydou Doumbia.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Roma are interested in offloading players in order to free up cash to make a bid for Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko, valued at £20million.

It is understood that Doumbia is open to the prospect of a move to West Ham, but favours a longer term deal over a one-year loan.

The Hammers have turned their attention to 27-year Ivory Coast international Doumbia following their failed attempt to sign Paul-Georges Ntep from Rennes.
