West Ham United are pushing Martin O'Neill on a decision to succeed Avram Grant, it has been revealed.
The Daily Mail says he has doubts about the possibility of having a relegation on his c.v., but the Hammers are anxious to get a firm 'yes' from O'Neill by the middle of this week.
Tottenham striker Robbie Keane, 30, would be O'Neill's main transfer target, but his arrival would see up to four other players sign for the club.
West Ham have held preliminary talks with O'Neill but are not due to meet him for another 48 hours. Steve Walford would come in as his assistant, but former Nottingham Forest team-mate John Robertson would not form part of the 58-year-old' s backroom staff.
