West Ham United midfielder Joe Cole feels English coaching could do with a foreign injection at national level.
Cole believes that the Football Association suits should be taking note of how the successful managers in the Premier League are operating.
He told the Daily Express: "We don't value enough in this country what a good technical, tactical coach can do for a team. I was brought up under the Charles Hughes school of football and we have to think has the game moved on since then.
"These people, like AVB, Brendan Rodgers and Jose, have come from outside the game and are looking at it from a different angle.
"They have changed the way things are and maybe the FA need to start looking at the way these people are doing things."
