Relegated West Ham United are looking to sign Eidur Gudjohnsen from Stoke City.
Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is keen to work with the Iceland international again and reports suggest he is close to bringing him in as a free agent after his deal at Stoke expired.
Gudjohnsen spent the second half of last season on loan with Fulham and there was some reported interest from the Cottagers but it seems likely that he will land at Upton Park after he has a medical on Thursday.
The proposed deal for the former Barcelona and Chelsea man is believed to be one year.
