West Ham United boss Gianfranco Zola remains determined to sign Barcelona striker Eidur Gudjohnsen.
The Daily Mail says the sale of Dean Ashton would generate vital funds for West Ham with Zola refusing to give up on former Chelsea colleague Gudjohnsen.
The Icelandic international is available at £5million from European champions Barcelona.
