West Ham United have baulked at Barcelona's £5million asking price for Alex Song.
According to reports from mirror.co.uk, the Hammers are eager to offer Song a three-year deal, but don't appear willing to meet Barcelona's valuation of the former Arsenal midfielder who spent last season on loan at Upton Park.
Reports have also linked Manchester City and Chelsea with Song, however West Ham believe they are the only realistic proposition for the Cameroonian and refuse to be drawn into any type of bidding war.
Song still has two years remaining on his contract at Barcelona.
