West Ham United are eyeing Genoa striker Alberto Gilardino.

The Sunday Express says the Italian international, who has scored 19 goals in 57 international appearances, has been earmarked by Sam Allardyce for a summer move.

Genoa are believed to want around £5million for Gilardino, 31, but the Allardyce is hoping to tie up an initial loan deal until the end of this season.
