West Ham have made a move for Lyon defender Marcelo.

Le 10 Sport says contact has been made with the Brazilian and a bid from the Irons is being prepared for OL to consider.

West Ham's opening offer will be €18m, though OL are expected to demand more.

OL president Jean Michel Aulas knows AC Milan are also interested in Marcelo, having fielded an approach in May.

Marcelo joined Lyon a year ago from Besiktas for €7m.
