West Ham to sack Bilic, if…

Slaven Bilic's future at West Ham United remains in doubt.

Reports suggest that the Hammers hierarchy are unwilling to extend the Croatian's contract beyond the summer of 2018.

It was understood recently that Bilic would be offered a new deal at season's end but fresher suggestions indicate that he will enter the final 12 months of his deal without guarantees over his future.

West Ham have dropped off the pace this season after moving to the London Stadium from Upton Park and there remains uncertainty surrounding Bilic, with the team currently sitting 12th on the Premier League table.

Additionally, The Sun is of the belief that Bilic will be sacked in the summer if he fails to produce a top-ten finish this season.

A Hammers source said: “The inconsistency and terrible vulnerability at the back really isn't on, it has to stop quickly.

“We seriously need a top ten finish for the manager to be certain of getting his third year. If he doesn't get that, he's probably gone.

“There has to be a level of performance over 90 minutes, it's just not on at the minute and something drastic needs to happen for everyone's sake.

“We can't carry on as we have been with six goals conceded in two games against teams from which we honestly expect to get something."
