West Ham United are planning a surprise move for Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Hammers have sold Mauro Zarate to Serie A club Fiorentina this transfer window and are planning to ship off Nikica Jelavic too in the last week of the transfer window.
Scotland international Fletcher, who only has six months left on his contract, is expected to be available on the cheap and could prove to be an able replacement.
The 28-year-old has scored four league goals in 16 appearances for Black Cats this season.
