West Ham United have told Newcastle United to forget about defender James Tomkins.
The Daily Mail says Newcastle have had an improved £4million bid for Tomkins rejected.
West Ham co-owner David Gold insists Tomkins is not for sale.
He said: "We want to keep James Tomkins, we really do want to keep him. I think it is fair to say he is not for sale."
