Theo Walcott is reluctant to leave Arsenal this summer.
The Daily Star says the Gunners frontman has told friends he still expects to be with the Gunners next season, despite a hugely disappointing campaign and interest from West Ham.
Walcott's loss of form saw him axed when Roy Hodgson's provisional Euro 2016 squad was announced on Monday.
He has also seen Arsenal fans turn against him.
The Hammers want to make some marquee signings this summer as they move into the Olympic Stadium.
They are ready to pay £20m for the 27-year-old and offer him regular football.
