West Ham United are in talks with Roma defender Matteo Ferrari.

Ferrari is off contract and ready to quit Serie A for a return to England, where he had a previous spell on-loan at Everton.

The Hammers have reportedly offered Ferrari a four-year contract, worth £1.9 million-per-year.
