West Ham United have slapped in a £3 million to Lyon for striker Frederic Piquionne.

The Daily Mail says the Frenchman, who had been attracting interest from Fulham and Blackburn, has just completed a season on loan at Portsmouth and is eager to stay in the Premier League.

Piquionne would be among familiar company if he joins with incumbent manager Avram Grant set to take charge at Upton Park.
