Alberto Gilardino has made it clear that he is happy at Genoa amidst speculation linking him with a winter exit.

The 31-year old striker has attracted the interest of Premier League pair West Ham United and Sunderland as well as Serie A duo Bologna and Sassuolo but insists he is content at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

"There have been many rumours but I want to stay at Genoa, I am fine here," Gilardino told the Rossoblu's official website.

"Attracting interest from other teams always gives pleasure, it means that your qualities are appreciated.

"My goals? I'd like to get to 200 goals in Serie A and take part in my third World Cup, but now I think about the present and to do well with Genoa."
