West Ham United face losing on-loan Liverpool striker Andy Carroll.
The Sun says West Ham can only afford £10million to make the on-loan England forward a permanent fixture at Upton Park.
Liverpool are demanding close to the full £17m asking price set when he joined last summer.
Carroll, 24, has won back his place in the England squad for the end-of-season friendlies against Republic of Ireland and Brazil after finishing the season well.
