Portland Timbers will bring in West Ham United striker Frederic Piquionne on trial according to The Oregonian.
The 34-year old New Caledonia-born Frenchman has failed to make an appearance under Sam Allardyce this season and is believed to be looking to move on from the East London club with MLS in his sights.
Piquionne, who joined the Hammers from Lyon in 2010 after a loan with Portsmouth, is expected to play in Portland's preseason clash with FC Dallas on Wednesday.
