West Ham United striker Frederic Piquionne has denied claims he wants a move to Gerard Houllier's Aston Villa.
Houllier is reportedly interested in the Frenchman, 32, who joined the Hammers from Lyon during the summer after a loan spell with Portsmouth.
Houllier tried to sign Piquionne four seasons ago when he coached Lyon and the striker played for their local rivals St Etienne.
"I read in the papers about Aston Villa's interest in me, but I have not had a phone call from Gerard Houllier," the France international said. "He wanted to take me to Lyon while I was still with St Etienne. But there have been no concrete approaches for the time being."
