West Ham striker Mido victim of credit card fraud

West Ham United signing Mido has been the victim of credit card fraud.

The Daily Mail says a woman from Salford has pleaded guilty to 10 counts of fraud after it emerged she had embarked on a £46,000 spending spree using West Ham striker Mido's credit card.

Over a four month period Daryl Louise Harrison, 21, used the former Wigan striker's account details to treat friends to a luxury holiday in Dubai, purchase designer clothing and pay for expensive dental treatment.

It is understood that the Egypt international, who is on loan at Upton Park from Middlesbrough and pockets a paltry £1,000 per week in Premier League wage terms from the Hammers, called in police before fraud investigators from his private bank, SG Hambros Ltd, to uncover Harrison's scam after he noticed funds were missing.
