West Ham United striker Andy Carroll is looking forward to a full preseason.
Preseason training is set to begin on 3 July and the No9 is counting down the days until he can pull on his boots again.
"I can't wait for the new season to start," said the 25-year-old to whufc.com. "I didn't want the last one to end to be honest, I still felt fresh and ready to play more games as I had missed the opening half of the season.
"We had a talk after the last match about the positives and the tough times we had when we were sucked into the relegation fight for a bit, but the Gaffer, staff and all the lads had the belief that, once we came through those times and got players back, we could get better and we did.
"Now the focus is to push on and look forward to the new season."
