Andy Carroll is working hard in the gym in order to be fully fit ahead of the 2015/16 season.
The West Ham United centre-forward made just 14 Premier League appearances last term as a knee injury sustained in February cut short his output.
The former Newcastle United and Liverpool attacker opted to forego his summer holidays in a bid to get himself back to full fitness and is eager to prove himself as the Hammers prepare for Europa League qualifying which kicks off on July 2.
"The injury is going well and I have pretty much been in every day working on it and strengthening the injury. I started jogging and it is all getting better," Carroll said.
"I have been in the gym a long time now and it is nice to be outside going for a jog and it felt great afterwards. Hopefully I can be back out there.
"I want to step it up again and start kicking a ball but I am glad to be outside and moving again."
