West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic insists he's not to blame for the dismissal of Slaven Bilic last season.
He was Bilic's major summer signing last year, got sent off in his second game and failed to score under his new manager, who was sacked on November 6.
"It would be harsh to say he was sacked because of me," he said. "Maybe there were a couple of occasions when I let him down, when it was not my meaning. I have a lot of respect for Slaven. I love him as a human being and as a coach. He has done a lot for me.
"But as a team we couldn't get the result that we wanted. I let him a little bit down and I think he thought that as well. When he saw me playing as a central striker scoring goals, it wasn't easy for him."
