West Ham skipper Noble praises Cresswell after vital win

West Ham skipper Mark Noble hailed a crucial win at Crystal Palace on Saturday night.

The win, earned by Manuel Lanzini's neat finish from Aaron Cresswell's cross, saw the Hammers climb out of the relegation zone.

Noble told BT Sport: "We don't want to talk about injuries, but you miss players like Cress - wing-backs in this day and age are important to use - and I thought he was fantastic for us today.

"He's only trained for about 10 days and now we are going to miss him next week now which is not nice, but the three points today were massive.

"I've been the first one lately to criticise the team and the way we played, but tonight we showed we haven't given up and how much it means to us put a win on the board. For everyone who works at the club, the staff, it was a big game for us today.

"We deserved that criticism because we have been that bad, but we are fully behind the manager. I think everyone has come out and said that and I think that really showed tonight."
