New West Ham United signing Dimitri Payet sees himself as a playmaker.

Payet signed for the Hammers this week from Olympique Marseille.

After putting pen to paper on a five-year deal on Friday, the 28-year-old told Hammers fans of the sort of midfield maestro they can look forward to watching.

“I'd say I really like to organise the game," he explained. “That was my role last year at Marseille and to feed my attackers with good service so that they can score plenty of goals.

“Now that I'm here that's what one expects of me and it's up to me carry on that same path as last year and to deliver or even to score a lot of goals.

“I've seen that we have very good attackers and I've got to give them good service to keep them in the best possible shape."
