West Ham United are believed to be keen on Maynor Figueroa and Danny Simpson.
Reports suggest the Hammers, who today signed Romanian left-back Razvan Rat from Shakhtar Donetsk, are hoping to bring in another defender this summer.
With Wigan Athletic going down to the Championship, Figueroa could become available as he would like to continue his career in the Premier League, whilst Simpson has been on the brink of a Newcastle United exit on a number of occasions recently.
