West Ham United are seeking a director of recruitment.
The London Evening Standard says the new man, who will be in charge of the scouting network, will be answerable to the club's board of directors but will also work closely with manager Sam Allardyce, who will have a major input into his appointment.
West Ham will also make the appointment of an "attacking" coach another priority this summer, as they look to appease those fans who were critical of what they saw as the team's one-dimensional style of play last season.
