West Ham United are cutting back on their scouting network.
The Daily Mail says chief scout Roger Cross's dismissal last week came after two decades at Upton Park.
It is understood West Ham's owners want Avram Grant's management team to take on scouting responsibilities.
The Hammers still have the chance of beating the drop this season.
