West Ham United defender Jonathan Spector is expected t be right to face Wolverhampton on Sunday after missing the FA Cup clash with Arsenal last weekend.
The USA international had a hamstring strain forcing him out of the clash with the Gunners but a source close to the club said Hammers manager Gianfranco Zola was just playing it safe and he will take on Wolves this weekend.
"It was a precautionary thing," the source told Soccer365 on Tuesday afternoon. "He should be back for the game against Wolves.
"With it being the Cup, the manager felt he could change it up. Jonathan should return because he can play left or right back, and these positions have possible injury concerns. He was being protected for the important league game."
The match could prove to be vital for both sides' top flight survival chances with the Hammers only out of the drop zone because of goal difference and Wolves sitting just one point above Sunday's opponents.
